What the score means

Four bands. Most profiles we audit for the first time land in the second.

  • 0 to 49Needs work

Claimed and left alone. Competitors with fuller profiles are taking your calls.

  • 50 to 74Getting there

The basics are right. Photos, reviews and posts are the gap.

  • 75 to 89Strong

Ahead of most locals. A weekly rhythm will push you into the top three.

  • 90 to 100Dialled in

Looked after every week. Keep going and track rankings by suburb.

Fifteen checks are worth 100 points in total. Tick boxes earn all or nothing. Photos, review count and rating earn part marks in steps: for example 10 to 24 reviews earns 40% of the review points, 25 to 49 earns 70% and 50 or more earns all of them.

No. It is our own checklist and weighting, based on what we see move map rankings and call volume for local businesses. Search engines do not publish a score like this.

75 or more puts you ahead of most local competitors. Above 90 means the profile is being looked after every week. Below 50 usually means the profile was claimed and then left alone.

Review count and rating are what customers look at first and they strongly influence who gets the tap. They also take the longest to build, so they are worth starting on today.
